Trump promises Americans $5,000 if Republicans win Congress

President Donald Trump declared on Wednesday that if Republicans secure control of Congress in the upcoming November elections, each American adult will receive $5,000 in a proposed "Trump dividend." Addressing attendees at the Republican midterm convention in Dallas, Trump emphasized that this monetary gift would be awarded to those who support the party, likening it to the promised presidential vote. The president, however, did not specify the source of funding, stating that the nation is reaping substantial profits.

Trump urged his supporters to imagine him on the ballot once more, emphasizing his belief that he can aid Republicans in defying opinion polls and retaining both chambers of Congress. Despite polls indicating a significant lead for Democrats in the House (230-205) and a narrow margin in the Senate (51-49), Trump remained confident, predicting victory in the Iran war and predicting a decrease in oil prices.

He proposed renaming the strategically vital Strait of Hormuz after himself, further fueling the already heated atmosphere surrounding the administration's foreign policy.
