Titus-Glover camp says Mustapha Salam wasn’t pressured to withdraw from National Organiser race

The campaign of Daniel Nii Kwartei Titus-Glover, a National Organiser candidate for the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has dismissed allegations that Mustapha Salam withdrew from the race due to external pressure or influence. In a statement released by Stonewall, a Titus-Glover aide, it was stated that Mr. Salam's decision was grounded in his personal evaluation of the contest and his odds of winning the National Organiser position.

The statement firmly declared that Mustapha Salam did not step down because of any individual's influence, pressure, or intervention from party structures. It claimed that Mr. Salam reached his decision after a thorough assessment of his prospects in the race. The campaign urged party members and supporters to respect Mr. Salam's decision, and to allow the specifics surrounding his withdrawal to speak for themselves, rather than attributing it to external pressures.

Titus-Glover's campaign emphasized Mr. Salam's determination to stay focused on his campaign, adding that he would continue interacting with delegates across the country in the lead-up to the NPP National Executive elections scheduled for October 3, 2026. The campaign's confidence was placed in the delegates' capacity to determine the party's National Organiser.
