TFC extends unbeaten run to seven games with 2-1 win over Nashville SC

Toronto FC extended its unbeaten streak to seven games with a 2-1 victory over Major League Soccer frontrunners Nashville FC on Wednesday. After conceding an early own goal, Daneil Salloi and Emilio Aristizabal scored in the second half to secure the win. Aristizabal, who came on as a substitute for Josh Sargent in the 75th minute, scored the game-winning goal from close range in the box during extra time.

Salloi's equalizer was set up by a perfect goal-line cross from Theo Corbeanu in the 72nd minute at BMO Field. Nashville's unbeaten streak was broken at six outings. This marked Toronto's first win against Nashville since a 2-1 home victory on September 18, 2021. Midfielders Niklas Dorsch and Alonso Coello were involved in communication issues with goalkeeper Luka Gavran, resulting in Dorsch's own goal in the fourth minute.

Toronto's visiting goalkeeper Brian Schwake had kept 11 clean sheets in 2026. Nashville had a goal disallowed after Reed Baker-Whiting was offside in the 49th minute.
