Spain's top-funded tech companies in H1 2026

In the first half of 2026, Spanish technology companies raised approximately €1.7 billion in funding, with a significant portion concentrated among just ten firms. Spacetech emerged as the leading industry, garnering around €354.3 million, primarily driven by companies such as PLD Space, EOS-X Space, Arkadia Space, and FOSSA Systems.

The travel sector followed closely with roughly €266.1 million in financing, largely attributed to Perk's operations. Medical and healthcare enterprises collectively raised about €195.1 million, while artificial intelligence companies secured about €150.9 million in funding. Other notable recipients included companies in the jobs and recruitment, semiconductors, software, and fintech sectors.

The funding round distribution spanned from pre-seed and seed stages to Series A, B, and later-stage financings. Early-stage deals were prevalent, but larger growth-stage rounds also contributed substantially to the total capital raised. Debt financing accounted for approximately 19% of the overall capital.

A few large transactions were interspersed with a broad array of smaller early-stage rounds, with industries such as space, healthcare, AI, and semiconductors attracting the most capital. The ten companies that raised the most in H1 2026 were listed, including Perk, which secured a $300 million private credit facility for business travel, expenses, and events management.

PLD Space raised €210 million for its space transportation systems and MIURA launch vehicles, while Factorial received $150 million for its business management software aimed at HR, finance, and IT teams. EOS-X Space and EOS-X Space received $140 million and €115 million respectively for their space tourism and Earth data infrastructure projects. Other significant financings were recorded by Openchip, Xoople, Ona Therapeutics, and THEKER.
