Soul City Sirens offers beginner roller derby boot camp

Augusta, Georgia is set to welcome a new beginner roller derby bootcamp called Soul City Sirens. The Sirens, Augusta's sole women's flat track roller derby league, are an active not-for-profit organization. This six-week bootcamp is specifically tailored for individuals with no prior experience in roller skating. The program aims to provide an opportunity for community members to learn the sport, gain confidence, stay active, and become a part of a supportive team.

It's an invitation to try something new, be adventurous, and get in shape. Even if skating isn't someone's cup of tea, there are other ways to contribute to the team. As one of the coaches put it, "It's a good community to be a part of and just get you out of the house, get you something to do." Registration is open until a few days before the bootcamp commences on September 20th.
