Skye Metal Coating expands Dubai operations with new hard anodizing line

Skye Metal Coating has recently expanded its anodizing operations in Dubai, introducing a dedicated hard anodizing line and 25 new color options imported from the United States. The expansion, completed on September 3, comes after the company doubled its anodizing workforce in recent months. The investment bolsters the company's production capabilities for architectural aluminum and other components requiring functional finishes.

Skye Metal's standard anodizing operations can process aluminum profiles up to four meters in length, catering to interior fit-outs, decorative metalwork, and architectural applications. The new hard anodizing line works in tandem with this existing capability, providing targeted processing equipment for items needing hard anodizing. Dr. Joseph Sharkey, Skye Metal Coating's Managing Director, highlighted the addition of personnel, specialized equipment, and an expanded range of decorative colors.

The company's focus on architectural aluminum is a key aspect of the expansion. To enhance processing quality, Skye Metal installed specially manufactured titanium jigs to securely hold components during production. The four-meter profile capacity applies to standard anodizing, while the hard anodizing line's capacity depends on individual component dimensions and coating specifications.
