Ryan Gauld scores 50th career goal with Vancouver and the Whitecaps beat the Galaxy 3-0

Vancouver's Ryan Gauld netted his 50th career goal, while Yohei Takaoka earned his 11th clean sheet of the season, as the Whitecaps defeated the LA Galaxy 3-0 in a match on Wednesday night. Gauld became the first player in Vancouver's MLS era to achieve this milestone with the club, alongside Takaoka, who is one shutout behind LAFC's Hugo Lloris for the MLS lead.

Brian White put Vancouver ahead in the eighth minute with a header, followed by Gauld's penalty kick in the 57th minute. Subs White, Gauld, and Müller were replaced, allowing Bruno Caicedo to score a penalty in the 89th minute, with JT Marcinowski making a save for LA Galaxy.
