PHOTOS: Soludo, wife receive Oluremi Tinubu at Anambra airport

The wife of Nigeria's governor, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, touched down at the Chinua Achebe International Airport in Anambra State on Thursday to commence an official visit to the region. Upon her arrival, she was greeted by her husband, Governor Chukwuma Soludo, his wife Dr. Nonye Soludo, and other prominent state leaders at the airport.

Following the warm welcome, the delegation proceeded to the next item on their itinerary, marking a significant step toward honoring Senator Tinubu's visit to the area. It is anticipated that she will perform various functions during her stay in the state.

Senator Tinubu's visit serves a dual purpose: launching the National Community Food Bank Programme – South East Zone and commissioning an ICT Centre at the Federal Polytechnic, Oko. Dr. Samuel Obasi, the Director for the South East Zone of the National Primary Healthcare Development Agency, explained that the food bank initiative aims to combat the widespread issue of malnutrition among children and women across the nation.

In collaboration with the National Primary Healthcare Development Agency and partners in each geopolitical zone, the National Community Food Bank will be inaugurated tomorrow at the Amawbia Primary Health Centre. This facility will cater to Anambra Central Senatorial District and extend assistance to other centers in Anambra South and North Senatorial zones, primarily targeting children and women suffering from moderate or severe acute malnutrition.
