PHOTOS: Soludo, wife receive Oluremi Tinubu at Anambra airport

Nigeria’s First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, touched down at the Chinua Achebe International Airport in Anambra State on Thursday for an official visit. Upon disembarking from her aircraft, she was greeted warmly by the state governor, Prof. Chukwuma Soludo, and his wife Dr Nonye Soludo, along with other state leaders. Soludo and his wife received Senator Tinubu and her delegation at the tarmac, exchanging pleasantries before moving on to their next meeting.

The welcoming delegation comprised top government dignitaries who gathered to honor her visit to the region. Senator Tinubu is scheduled to perform various functions during her stay in Anambra, most notably the launch of the National Community Food Bank Programme – South East Zone and the commissioning of an ICT Centre at the Federal Polytechnic, Oko.

Dr Samuel Obasi, the Director of the Southern-East Zone at the National Primary Healthcare Development Agency, explained that the National Community Food Bank is an initiative aimed at addressing the high prevalence of malnutrition among children and women across the country. The programme, which will be established at the Amawbia Primary Health Centre and serve the Anambra Central Senatorial District, will also extend support to centers in Anambra South and North Senatorial zones.
