LSH Capital gets nod to build, operate RM1.75bil Bandar Malaysia-Seri Kembangan expressway

KUALA LUMPUR: Lim Seong Hai Capital Bhd (LSH Capital) has received approval from the Cabinet to develop and operate a RM1.75 billion expressway called Bandar Malaysia-Seri Kembangan Expressway (BSE). The project, which will be undertaken through a build-operate-transfer privatization arrangement, will be 8.2 kilometres long and will connect Bandar Malaysia to the Sungai Besi Toll Plaza.

The BSE will feature four interchanges and three ramps, providing access to several major highways including the Kuala Lumpur-Seremban Expressway, East-West Link Expressway, and the New Pantai Expressway. Upon completion, LSH Capital expects to generate around RM20 million in revenue from operations and maintenance during the first year.

The project is expected to take four years to complete and will create approximately 15,000 jobs during construction. LSH Capital chairman Tan Sri Lim Keng Cheng expressed that the BSE marks a significant milestone for the company and will bolster its position in construction and facilities management sectors.
