Jawatankuasa khas Felda serah laporan kepada PM hujung bulan

A special Felda Task Force has submitted an interim report to the Prime Minister, Anwar Ibrahim, ahead of the end of the month. This task force, comprising senior government advisors, was established in June last year to review Felda's strategic plan for 2025-2030. The Prime Minister's office stated that the task force, consisting of independent advisors and Bank Negara Malaysia non-executive board members, Nungsari Ahmad Radhi and Ernst & Young PLT Malaysia, among others, held six meetings with relevant parties throughout the year to investigate various issues.

These included the listing of FGV Holdings Bhd and the management shortcomings in acquiring or investing in eight assets, as documented in a white paper presented to the House of Representatives in April 2019. The task force operates solely as an advisory body, with fiduciary responsibility remaining with the Felda supervisory board and its management companies, in line with existing corporate governance structures.

The interim report, containing the task force's findings and recommendations, will be submitted to the Prime Minister this month for consideration. The task force, chaired by Ahmad Fuad Ali, included finance ministry officials Nurhisham Hussein, an Anwar advisor and former KWSP strategy head, and lawyer Ernst & Young PLC Malaysia partner Mohamad Hanafiah Zakaria.
