Illa apela a la unidad ante el auge identitario y proclama: "Nadie es más catalán que nadie"

Alianza Catalana, represented by Salvador Illa, emphasized the importance of unity among Catalans as the region faces increasing identity-driven challenges in his traditional address ahead of the Diada. Illa urged Catalans, regardless of their origins, to come together and reminded them that no one is more Catalan than anyone else.

He condemned hatred and stated that Catalonia is a place for everyone to thrive, live, study, work, invest, create, and dream. Illa also called for renewed trust in the country, its institutions, people, and the potential that the Catalan society possesses.

During the address, Illa addressed those who claim the Catalan identity is at a crossroads and at risk. He assured them that Catalonia has the resources and opportunities to prosper. Illa extended his message to those who argue for Catalan identity's decline, emphasizing that Catalonia has everything necessary for success and that he aims to make it the best place in Europe to live, work, and raise a family.

In his concluding remarks, Illa invited Catalans to work together on Diada, emphasizing the need to rebuild confidence in the country, its institutions, people, and potential. He advocated for bridging gaps in issues such as new financing, which Junts does not favor and will not support in Congress. Illa also called for consensus on major matters like access to housing and education.
