North Wilkesboro was a particularly low point, where Berry had to start from the back of the field due to a qualifying rainout, despite having one of the fastest cars in practice.

Berry has since finished no worse than ninth over the past six races and credits his improved performance to a shift in his approach, though he maintains that he hasn't changed his preparation methods. His turnaround coincided with an improvement in the overall performance of the Team Penske and Penske-adjacent stable. Berry's hiring by Legacy Motor Club was not solely about the current season but also about a long-term vision. He was impressed by the team's culture and the opportunities for growth under their leadership.
