CM Yogi Adityanath Govt Orders FIR, Blacklisting Of Contractor Over Mid-Day Meal Foodgrain Supply Lapse In Sitapur

Lucknow, September 10 - The state government, led by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, has taken a firm stance against negligence in the distribution of Mid-Day Meal foodgrains. In response to the failure to supply rations to Fair Price Shop dealers in Sitapur, Food and Civil Supplies Minister Manoj Kumar Pandey has issued strict orders.

He has instructed the District Magistrate to file an FIR against the responsible transport contractor and blacklist the firm involved. The government's scope of action extends beyond the transport contractor, with officials found negligent at all levels of supervision and monitoring also under scrutiny. The minister emphasized that strict action will be taken against anyone whose negligence is discovered during the investigation, reinforcing the government's zero-tolerance policy towards corruption and irregularities in foodgrain distribution.

To prevent similar lapses, departmental officials have been directed to strengthen monitoring and supervision mechanisms in the single-stage transportation system. The Yogi government's priority is to ensure transparency, accountability, and efficiency in the distribution of government schemes, guaranteeing that benefits reach eligible beneficiaries without delay.
