BMW goes into Fast & Furious mode with the new M350

BMW has introduced a new M350 xDrive model that is more playful than its predecessor, the M340i. This 437bhp straight-six sports car can transform itself into a rear-wheel-drive drift car with a single button press. The function, called Drift Moment, sends all 437bhp to the rear wheels, turning the otherwise sensible 3 Series into a fun drift machine.

This feature, available through a software update starting in 2027, sets the M350 apart from other family saloons. Despite its playful exterior, the car houses a serious performance package, with 50bhp more than the previous M340i model. It boasts a powerful 0-62mph time of 4.1 seconds and a top speed of 155mph. Production of the M350 xDrive is set to begin in the second half of 2026, with UK deliveries following shortly after.
