The relevant faction, also part of Bersatu Arau, Roshita Buyong, stated that the decision was made in response to the central leadership's appointment of Padang Besar Bersatu President Izizam Ibrahim as Bersatu Perlis General Secretary without consultation with the state and grassroots leadership. "We view any major decision involving Bersatu Perlis leadership as one that must consider the viewpoint of the state and grassroots leadership, which have historically driven the party on the ground.

This is our political stance, and we are responsible for this stance," she said at a media briefing here tonight. Roshita also clarified that the decision was not driven by emotion, but rather by a collective decision after serious consideration of their political path. Yesterday, Deputy Vice President Kangar Faisol Rahman, along with the branch executive and 90 out of 99 branch heads in the area, announced their resignation from the party.

Similarly, the line-up of leadership, including Branch Armada Kangar Mohd Firdaus Ismail and all Branch Armada Secretaries, also declared their intention to leave the party. On Tuesday, Bersatu Arau also joined 14 branch heads out of 24 in declaring their simultaneous job cuts and party resignations. The Bersatu Arau leadership involved in this move includes Deputy President Ramzi Md Udi, Deputy Vice President Ramli Aripin, Deputy Woman Fazuwin Razak, Chief Woman Muda Nurul Hafiza Ramli, and two Branch Secretaries Zulkefli Hassan and Nazri Khamis.
