Apple’s big reveal: The $1,999 iPhone Duo, new Pro phones, watches and AirPods — everything you need to know

Apple unveiled its latest lineup of products on September 9, 2026, at its "Surprise and Shine" event in Cupertino, California. The headline product was the iPhone Duo, a $1,999 foldable phone that starts sales on October 23, 2026, in the UAE. The phone opens into a 7.6-inch flexible display, allowing users to switch between mobile and tablet modes.

It comes in Star White and Night Sky colors and offers storage options starting at 256GB and going up to 2TB. The iPhone Duo is positioned as a device for multitasking, editing, entertainment, and Apple Pencil use.

Following the Duo, Apple announced the new iPhone 18 Pro models, including the iPhone 18 Pro and the larger iPhone 18 Pro Max. The Pro models feature the new A20 Pro chip, a 48MP camera system, and storage options up to 2TB. The 18 Pro starts at $1,199 in the U.S. and Dh5,099 in the UAE, while the 18 Pro Max starts at $1,299 in the U.S., Dh5,499 in the UAE, and Rs144,900 in India. Preorders for the 18 Pro models begin on September 12, 2026, with sales starting on September 18, 2026.

The Apple Watch Series 12, the mainstream smartwatch, was also unveiled. It features an all-new Health Sensing System, a daily Readiness Score, and faster charging. The Series 12 starts at $399 in the U.S., Dh1,599 in the UAE, and Rs56,900 in India. Preorders are now open, and the watch will be available for purchase on September 18, 2026.

Lastly, Apple introduced the Apple Watch Ultra 4, the newest rugged smartwatch. It boasts a titanium design, WR100 water resistance, and off-grid satellite communication capabilities. The Ultra 4 is powered by the S11 chip, featuring a quad-core Neural Engine, and offers built-in Siri AI and Audio Intelligence features. Starting at $799 in the U.S., Dh3,199 in the UAE, and Rs89,900 in India, preorders are now open with retail availability beginning September 18, 2026.
