Zahid nafi terima surat letak jawatan menteri besar N Sembilan

Presiden Umno Zahid Hamidi has refused to accept a letter of appointment from Negeri Sembilan's Chief Minister Ismail Lasim, according to the latest update from Harian Metro. The deputy prime minister reiterated that he too does not accept any such letters. The situation arose following allegations that Ismail had signed a proclamation document to depose Tuanku Muhriz, the Yang Di Pertuan Besar.

Ismail claimed he was forced to sign the document, which surfaced on social media. He filed a police report around 6 pm yesterday to facilitate an inquiry by the authorities. Earlier, several individuals, including Undang Luak Johol Muhammed Abdullah, claimed in a media panel that Ismail had signed the proclamation document under Section 10(2) of the State Government Corporation Act dated August 3.

These claims were refuted by Ismail in a statement, who asserted he never signed or completed the proclamation document. When asked about his involvement in a specific discussion related to the Negeri Sembilan issue, Zahid denied any involvement and claimed Ismail had already denied his involvement.
