“We want long-term partners”: Madhya Pradesh CM pitches UAE investors, has Dh20.5 billion pipeline

Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav has been actively pitching investors, particularly from the UAE, during his three-day visit to the country. The chief minister highlighted that his government has secured proposals worth more than ₹53,000 crore (Dh20.5 billion) across various sectors, including green energy, urban development, health, education, logistics, and retail.

One of the key promises Yadav fulfilled during his visit was the launch of direct flights between Abu Dhabi and Indore, with talks underway to establish a similar route between Sharjah and Bhopal. During his discussions, Yadav met representatives from Emaar, Lulu Group, and the Ras Al Khaimah Ruler, with the latter expressing interest in opening a food processing unit, shopping malls, and a hypermarket in the state.

Yadav also invited Yusuff Ali, Lulu Group's chairman, to attend the Madhya Pradesh Investors Summit in Bhopal next year. The state has been pushing for reforms to make it more investor-friendly, including the abolition of over 900 laws and the introduction of the Madhya Pradesh Ease of Doing Business Act 2026. This reform drive aims to enhance the ease, stability, and transparency of trade and business in the state, making it an attractive destination for investors.
