‘We have shaken it up’ – Sampson says Black Princesses ready to redeem themselves

Black Princesses head coach Charles Sampson expressed his confidence in his players' ability to bounce back after their 3-0 loss to Ecuador at the U-20 Women’s World Cup in Poland. The Ghanaian squad faced a tough start to their campaign, conceding three goals against Ecuador during their opening Group stage fixture, which left both the players and the coaching team disappointed.

However, Sampson believes the team has overcome the shock and emotions of the loss, stating, "I can say confidently that the girls have overcome the last game shock and the emotions in it, so now it looks like we are ready to go." He further highlighted that the team's character will be crucial as they aim to redeem themselves in their upcoming match against South Korea.

Sampson acknowledged that the team's performance in the first game was unusual and difficult to pinpoint, but emphasized that the squad has since shaken off the disappointment and is prepared to handle the challenge.
