Verkauf vollzogen: Porsche verkauft Bugatti und Rimac – Milliardenerlös erzielt

Stuttgart. Motor vehicle manufacturer Porsche AG has concluded the sale of its shares in Bugatti Rimac and the Croatian Rimac Group, resulting in proceeds of approximately one billion euros. The transaction was finalized on Wednesday after obtaining regulatory approval, as reported by Porsche in Stuttgart. The associated contracts were signed in April.

Porsche plans to utilize the proceeds, totaling 250 million euros, for further financing of pension obligations. The automaker sees this as another step towards focusing on its core business. The company, facing a sales slump in China, has tightened its cost-cutting measures this year. By 2035, Porsche anticipates the elimination of nearly 9,000 jobs, roughly one-fifth of its workforce.

Several peripheral activities have been either discontinued, such as battery cell production, or sold, including the management consultancy MHP, which is being transferred to Tata Consultancy Services in India for 320 million euros. With the influx of funds from the sale of Bugatti-Rimac shares, Porsche now expects a higher net cash flow margin in its automotive segment to range between 5.5 and 7.5 percent for the 2026 fiscal year, up from the previous forecast of 3 to 5 percent.
