UP textiles reaching global markets, says Deputy CM Brajesh Pathak

Deputy Chief Minister Brajesh Pathak spoke at the conclusion of the two-day "UP TEX-2026" event in Lucknow on Wednesday. Pathak highlighted that while Uttar Pradesh has a strong textile industry, products have not been able to enter global markets. He stated that today, UP textiles are reaching both national and international markets, attracting significant investments into the state's textile sector.

Pathak emphasized that the state's rich handloom and textile heritage is not just cultural heritage but a vital source of income for thousands of artisans, weavers, and entrepreneurs. The government's commitment is to empower these workers while expanding their reach to global markets. Additionally, Pathak announced a new government policy allowing doctors in the state to serve until they reach the age of 70 through reappointment.

This decision aims to enhance healthcare services by providing more experienced medical professionals to government hospitals, CHCs, and PHCs, thereby improving patient care and reducing hospital pressure.
