‘Tortured if you question AAP’: Rahul Gandhi’s pre-Punjab poll attack

Rahul Gandhi, the Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha, highlighted the substandard condition of Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana (PMGSY) roads in his constituency, Raebareli, during a DISHA meeting in the city. The Congress leader exhibited photographs of pothole-ridden roads and sought information on the responsible agencies for their construction.

Mr. Gandhi attended the District Development Coordination and Monitoring Committee (DISHA) meeting alongside other elected representatives and officials to evaluate the execution of Central government schemes. Umesh Bahadur Singh, a member of the DISHA committee, mentioned that Gandhi pointed out specific roads and asked for prompt action.

The PMGSY executive engineer confirmed that the roads would be repaired, asserting the importance of identifying the agency responsible for each road's construction and maintaining records. Rahul Gandhi concluded his visit without addressing reporters.
