SRM University-AP signs Open Access agreement with Springer Nature

SRM University-AP has signed an Open Access agreement with Springer Nature to enhance the accessibility of research published by its scholars. During a session organized by the University Central Library, students, research scholars, and faculty members learned about the significance of the agreement. Springer Nature representatives, including Neeraj Karandikar, Rajneesh Appayya, and Morla Kamakshaiah, were present to explain the terms.

Under the agreement, SRM University-AP will cover the Article Processing Charges (APCs) for eligible research articles, allowing researchers to publish their work under an open access model without incurring publication costs. The agreement follows the Golden Open Access model, enabling immediate and free access to published research.

Springer Nature's extensive portfolio of journals and imprints, such as BMC, Springer, Scientific Reports, and Nature Partner Journals, offers researchers various publication options. The publication process remains unchanged, with the agreement taking effect only after a manuscript is formally accepted for publication. Researchers can identify covered journals and understand the approval process after editorial acceptance.

The partnership aims to boost the global visibility of research from SRM University-AP's engineering, science, and humanities departments, making scholarly work more accessible to a broader international audience and contributing to the global academic community.
