Salesforce is reportedly in negotiations to acquire the artificial intelligence-powered customer research platform, Listen Labs, for roughly $2 billion, according to Business Insider. The acquisition talks are still in progress and may not lead to a deal, as reported on September 9. Listen Labs assists businesses in understanding their customers by designing studies, reaching participants, conducting AI-moderated interviews, delivering results, and building on past findings.

The company was valued at $500 million during a financing round earlier this year. In January, Listen Labs raised $100 million and had already interviewed over 1 million individuals in its first nine months, providing feedback to companies such as Microsoft, Sweetgreen, and Perplexity. Listen Labs' mission is to ensure that every important decision begins with real people, not assumptions.

Salesforce previously acquired an AI customer service platform, Fin, for $3.6 billion in June, which will provide access to Fin's AI agent for handling complex customer queries across multiple channels. Additionally, Salesforce acquired m3ter, a metering and rating platform, in June to bring native mediation, metering, and rating capabilities to its Agentforce Revenue Management.
