Sindh Officially Reduces School Timings

The Sindh School Education and Literacy Department has cut school hours by one hour across the province, effective immediately, as directed by Education Minister Syed Sardar Ali Shah. According to a September 9 circular, the revised schedule will remain in place until further notice. Schools will still operate five days a week. The new timings represent a one-hour reduction from the schedules in the department's previous circular.

Heads of institutions and field officers have been instructed to enforce the changes strictly. The department clarified that all other terms from the prior circular remain unchanged. The move comes after the minister announced the reduction a day earlier due to intense heat across the region. The decision has not specified the exact new start and end times; it simply states that the previous timings will be shortened by one hour.
