Nintendo Confirms Pikmin 4 Switch 2 Edition

Nintendo has confirmed the release of Pikmin 4: Switch 2 Edition, an enhanced version of the popular real-time strategy game. This new edition will launch on November 12 and come with upgraded visuals and additional content. Players can now use voice commands to chat and control Oatchi, a new dog-like companion. A new mode called Dandori Academy introduces time-based treasure hunts, with three difficulty levels and weekly challenges on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays.

Players will encounter 72 stages of Dandori Academy over time. The game's original release in July 2023 received positive reviews from fans and critics, and despite its strong sales, it lacked post-launch updates. This edition will address that shortcoming by introducing new gameplay elements such as indoor and nighttime gameplay, as well as the return of Pikmin 2's dungeon-like caves and all major Pikmin species.

Fans can look forward to a more generous game with unlockable side-modes and a compelling story campaign.
