Man in Singapore gets protection order against wife who sent AI obscene images

A Singaporean family court has granted a man a personal protection order (PPO) against his wife, who had reportedly emotionally or psychologically abused him using text messages and AI-generated images. The court found that the wife's actions constituted family violence, including the production of fake images and videos depicting the husband and his sister engaging in sexual acts.

The man had sought the PPO after his wife accused him of having sexual relations with his sister. According to the court judgment, the wife had a strained relationship with the husband's sister. The husband reportedly contributed S$100,000 to his father's medical bills and transferred about S$65,000 to his sister, triggering his wife's anger.

The wife's response was to send "hideously offensive and vile" messages, and send explicit AI-generated images and videos of the husband and his sister. The court found that there were 90 pages of screenshots from the husband showing these messages and explicit images. The wife did not dispute sending these messages, stating that she had used a free application to produce the obscene content.

The court noted that the man had lost weight drastically, and found that there was a high risk of the wife continuing to engage in family violence by sending such messages. The husband's wife was ordered to attend counseling, and the PPO was granted to protect the man from further harm.
