Last-Minute Leak Reveals iPhone Duo Color Options and Base Storage

Apple's first foldable iPhone is expected to be unveiled on September 9 during the company's Surprise and Shine event, starting at 10:00 a.m. Pacific Time, according to Bloomberg's Mark Gurman. The foldable device is rumored to be called the iPhone Duo, a name previously suggested in various reports and rumors.

Reports from last March had hinted that the foldable iPhone would feature a base storage capacity of 256GB, with options for 512GB and 1TB as well. Gurman's latest report confirms the 256GB base storage option, with other storage variants likely to be offered at higher price points.

The starting price for the iPhone Duo is estimated to be $2,000 for the 256GB model, while the highest-capacity version is expected to cost around $3,000. Previous rumors pointed towards Apple avoiding flashy colors for its first foldable iPhone, with a shade of indigo described as dark blue being the preferred color.

Gurman's latest leak indicates that the iPhone Duo will be available in white and dark blue colors. The foldable iPhone is anticipated to go on sale as early as October, potentially earlier than the upcoming iPhone 18 Pro models, which are also expected to be unveiled at the same event.
