‘I fear no man’: Kalinn Williams ready to test Roberto Soldic’s hype

Kalinn Williams, currently standing at 16-5, is set to face former two-division KSW champion Roberto Soldic (21-4) in an upcoming UFC 332 bout on October 3rd at the Delta Center in Salt Lake City. Williams, when quizzed about the sudden nature of the fight arrangement, shared in an interview with MMA Junkie that it came together only days before the announcement.

He acknowledged the hype surrounding Soldic, but emphasized that he viewed the fight as an opportunity to add a high-profile name to his record. "Fighters fight, man. So, it’s one of them things that, it just happened, man, and I just took advantage of the opportunity," Williams said. Despite Soldic's impressive resume, Williams made it clear that he wasn't intimidated by the hype.

"I fear no man," Williams stated firmly. "We all bleed the same, we all breathe the same. When all that hype, all them names, all the expectation, all that disappears, it’s just me and you. I know what I’m coming to do." Williams recently secured a first-round TKO victory over Nikolay Veretennikov in May. Soldic, on the other hand, recently transitioned from KSW to One Championship, competing in the Asia-based promotion three times before joining the UFC.
