Clinic says Nigerian influencer ignored doctor’s advice to split penis enlargement procedure

A cosmetic clinic in Bangkok, Thailand, has informed investigators that Nigerian content creator Igho "Tiny" Ubiribo requested a single-session penis enlargement procedure, despite his doctor recommending two separate sessions, according to The People. The 28-year-old influencer, living in London, passed away on March 6, less than 24 hours after receiving hyaluronic acid injections at the clinic, as revealed in inquest records of Westminster Coroner's Court.

After the inquest hearing on August 21, it was established that Ubiribo's cause of death was attributed to the hyaluronic acid injection and a pulmonary embolism. Thailand's Ministry of Public Health initiated an investigation into the clinic following the incident. Minister Pattana Phromphat directed the Department of Health Service Support and Food and Drug Administration to examine the situation.

According to the ministry, Ubiribo experienced chest pains and collapsed on March 5, several hours post the cosmetic procedure. He was taken to a local hospital for a CT scan but lost consciousness before the exam could begin. He underwent CPR for 101 minutes before being pronounced dead at 1:05 a.m. on March 6. The Ministry of Public Health conducted an inspection on September 7 to assess the clinic's adherence to medical standards.

The clinic's management stated that Ubiribo had been a patient since 2024 and had undergone five penile enlargement injections. They claimed that a doctor had advised him to split the injection into two sessions before the March 5 procedure, which he rejected. The clinic also stated that Ubiribo signed consent forms before each visit and received aftercare instructions after the treatments.

They assured that there were no reported issues with his previous procedures. The investigation aims to ascertain if the clinic complied with medical and professional norms in providing the procedure. The Ministry of Public Health pledged to collect evidence before referring the case to the Medical Council for a judgment on professional practice standards, ensuring fairness to all parties.

Ubiribo had over 180,000 followers on Instagram, where he frequently posted lifestyle content with his wife, Dani Allen.
