Apple debuts its first foldable phone called Duo

Cupertino, California - Apple unveiled a foldable phone called Duo on Wednesday, marking a significant change in the company's flagship product for the first time in years. The Duo shares the same size and shape as a passport, featuring rounded edges. When unfolded, it presents a horizontal, wide screen that can also be viewed vertically.

When folded, a smaller single screen is visible on the front. Apple claims the Duo to be their thinnest phone yet. The presentation of the foldable phone, the first event under the leadership of new CEO John Ternus, marked the most noticeable overhaul of Apple's flagship product since the removal of the physical home button from the iPhone X in 2017.

The iPhone generated $209.6 billion, or slightly more than half of Apple's sales, in the company's most recent fiscal year. Ternus took over as CEO from Tim Cook, who transitioned the leadership baton through a video presentation that concluded with a close-up of Cook stating, "Not me. That's your guy," gesturing towards Ternus.
