Apple debuts first foldable iPhone Duo, iPhone 18 Pro and more at Apple Event 2026

The Apple Event 2026 marked a significant milestone for the tech giant as it officially entered the foldable smartphone market with the debut of the iPhone Duo, its first foldable device. In addition to the iPhone Duo, Apple unveiled new iterations of its flagship iPhone 18 Pro models, featuring exterior updates such as a new Burgundy colorway, an A20 Pro chip with enhanced performance and AI processing capabilities, improved battery life, and the most advanced camera to date with variable aperture technology. Key features include continuous heart rate monitoring every five seconds, a new Readiness feature that assesses users' daily preparedness, and a stronger ceramic case returning after a seven-year absence.

Apple's AirPods 5 were also showcased, representing the latest evolution of the company's wireless earbuds. The new generation offers superior sound quality, better performance, and enhanced health-tracking features. Key improvements include 50% better Active Noise Cancellation, Transparency Mode, Adaptive Audio, and Live Translation capabilities. The AirPods 5 also boast an extended battery life, making them a more reliable choice for users who are frequently on the move.
