Apple confirms Siri AI launches in English this month, will add five languages in October

During Apple's "Surprise and Shine" event, the tech giant confirmed the rollout timeline for its new Siri AI. The assistant will launch in English before expanding to five additional languages in October. Alongside the official release of iOS 27 on September 14, English-speaking users will be able to utilize Siri AI. In October, the assistant will be available in five more languages, but the specific languages have not been disclosed.

Apple's VP of AI Product Marketing, Lilian Rincon, also shared two additional details during the event. Firstly, some features relying on powerful server models will have usage limits. Secondly, increased access to these features will be available with most iCloud+ plans. Apple Intelligence, of which Siri AI is a part, will support 16 languages with the upcoming OS releases, including the five new languages in October.

Apple Intelligence is not available in China, and Siri AI will not be available in China or the EU. The EU tensions arise from Apple's ongoing disagreement with regulators over the Digital Markets Act.
