Antisemitism Minister Chikli seeks entry bans for UK activists from pro-BDS, anti-Israel orgs.

Diaspora Affairs and Combating Antisemitism Minister Amichai Chikli has proposed banning entry to British activists from certain organizations that actively promote a boycott against Israel. The organizations include Islamic Relief Worldwide, Oxfam, Save the Children, Palestine Solidarity Campaign and Palestine Action. Chikli claims these groups have been engaged in anti-Israel activities for years, advocating for the BDS movement and exerting diplomatic and economic pressure on Israel.

Some of these groups are also suspected of having ties to the Muslim Brotherhood and Islamist networks in Britain and Europe, as well as connections with Hamas and the PFLP. The ministry's Director-General, Avi Cohen-Skali, recommended to the Population and Immigration Authority to prevent these groups' representatives from entering the country due to their activities against the State of Israel.

Following Canada, the UK and 10 European countries imposing trade bans and economic sanctions on Israel, Foreign Minister Gideon Sa'ar retaliated by closing the UK's consulate in east Jerusalem, expelling British representatives at the CMCC, and terminating UK forces' training of PA security forces in Ramallah. Additionally, Sa'ar banned the entry of 12 British elected representatives and other nationals.
