Andrew Tate is denied bail and will remain in jail during his extradition fight

Andrew and Tristan Tate have been denied bail by a federal judge in Miami, preventing them from leaving the Florida jail as they contest potential extradition to the UK. The dual US-UK citizens are accused of 59 charges, including rape, sex trafficking, and possession of indecent images of children. The UK Crown Prosecution Service initially filed 21 charges, but added 38 more in July for alleged actions from 2010 to 2017.

US authorities apprehended the brothers in July following the UK's introduction of the new charges. The Tates have vehemently denied all allegations. Wednesday's ruling indicates they will remain in custody during a possible lengthy extradition process. US Magistrate Judge Lauren Louis stated that despite any financial holdings they may portray online, the Tates possess a significant ability to flee.

Their lawyers argued they had followed release terms in previous UK and Romanian cases. Andrew Tate asserted his innocence, claiming he had never committed the crimes. Tristan Tate criticized his detention, stating it was hot, cramped, and lacking sunlight and exercise, adding he had lost 14 pounds. The British Embassy requested the judge to keep the Tates in jail, labeling them flight risks. The extradition request must be submitted by the UK by September 16.
