Zelda Notes App Will Add a Playable Ocarina, In-Game Stats, and More for Ocarina of Time Remake

The Zelda Notes app, originally designed as a companion for the Switch 2 versions of Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom, is receiving a significant update for the upcoming Ocarina of Time remake. During Nintendo's Zelda-centric Direct, the app will introduce several new features unique to the game's remake. One of these features is a playable Ocarina that can be used directly from the mobile device.

Players will be able to compose their own scores and even share them using a QR code. Additionally, the app will include an in-game stats tracker that provides daily insights on the user's play sessions, revealing information about the number of enemies slain and more. Another addition is a Zelda quiz comprising over 2,000 questions, which should keep fans entertained and engaged.

Perhaps most notably, Zelda Notes will also incorporate a feature that enables users to scan hint images from their device to help locate a hidden quest within the game. While these enhancements are entirely optional, they are designed to enrich the overall experience for players who choose to engage with them. Highlights from the recent Zelda Direct included the announcement of the release date for The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time remake, which coincides with the release of GTA 6.

Despite the proximity of these two highly-anticipated launches, Nintendo remains confident and focused on delivering the best experience for its dedicated fanbase. Furthermore, Nintendo unveiled a pair of amiibo figures for the Ocarina of Time remake, allowing enthusiasts to collect unique in-game items featuring young Zelda and young Link.
