YouTuber held in Saharanpur for ‘breach of peace’

On Monday, a 34-year-old YouTuber and journalist named Huda Zariwala was taken into custody in Saharanpur for allegedly causing a disturbance at the Circuit House. This incident came to light on Tuesday when police announced the arrest. According to police spokesperson Vyom Bindal, Zariwala was apprehended for creating a nuisance and behaving aggressively, despite attempts by female officers to explain her unauthorized entry was prohibited.

The officer further explained that Zariwala's disruptive behavior was evident when she attempted to accompany a Samajwadi Party delegation to the demolished mosque site. She was subsequently produced in court and sent to judicial custody. The police claim that Zariwala's actions violated Section 170 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, which allows for arrest to prevent the commission of a cognizable offense.
