What to watch as Republicans gather in Dallas for Trump’s unusual midterm convention

This week, Republicans are convening in Dallas for a two-day convention organized by President Donald Trump, aimed at rallying his supporters ahead of the midterm elections. The event, billed as the first annual payment of $205.00 + GST for one year, will automatically renew at $233.00 + GST every 52 weeks, with a 10% discount off the regular annual price of $259.35.

Although the president's poll numbers are declining, Trump insists that running on his record will help Republicans secure victory in November. The convention, open to the public, will feature more than 100 Republican House members and candidates, along with speakers such as Health Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr., Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent, and Attorney General Todd Blanche.

Trump is set to deliver a keynote address each night, alongside various other speakers echoing his agenda, including a focus on immigration crackdown, prescription drug price reductions, tax cuts, and spending law.
