watchOS 27 code reveals four changes for Apple Watch Ultra 4, more

Apple Watch Ultra 4 and Series 12 may be unveiled tomorrow, according to a leak suggesting several new changes coming in watchOS 27 for the latest models. X user pdfu has shared evidence of watchOS 27's code, revealing several features that were previously not disclosed. Among the updates, HomePod will reportedly gain surround sound and "party mode" features, while iOS 27's Camera app will introduce several professional photography features.

In watchOS 27, the launcher now places the Workout app immediately after the default Home Screen layout. Furthermore, the Watch companion app on iOS 27 references the same Readiness app, hinting at functionality similar to third-party wearables such as the Oura Ring. For strength workouts, Apple may be developing a comprehensive solution inside Workout, capable of describing sets, storing repetition counts, weight, equipment, body side, and duration.

The new optical-sensing system corroborates rumors of significant sensor changes in the Apple Watch Ultra 4 and possibly Series 12.
