vivo X500 Now Listed On SIRIM; Possibly Launching With 7,500mAh Battery

Vivo is preparing to unveil the latest iteration of its flagship X series soon, with the X500 model expected to make its debut in China later this month and potentially arrive in Malaysia shortly thereafter. The base X500 has recently appeared on the SIRIM database, indicating that the device may soon be available locally. The listing for the phone, which carries the model number V2619, was approved on September 7, 2026.

While the database entry does not provide any specifics about the device's features, Vivo has confirmed a few details about the upcoming smartphone. The X500 will feature a 50MP Sony LYT-828 sensor as its primary shooter, as well as a 64MP periscope telephoto camera with a Sony LYT-610 sensor and a 50MP ultra-wide lens. The phone's display could measure either 6.37 inches or 6.59 inches, and it is rumored to have a 3nm MediaTek Dimensity 9000 series chipset.

Furthermore, the device may include a 7,500mAh battery capable of supporting 90W wired and 40W wireless charging. The design of the X500 may follow Apple's plateau camera module aesthetic. However, these details should be regarded with caution as their authenticity has not been verified. The China launch of the X500 series is slated for September 21, 2026, with the device expected to include the base model and two Pro variants.

Alongside the new AI photography assistant, Vivo has revealed that the series will also feature an album-based AI-driven editing tool that adjusts colors. Additionally, the phones will support 10-bit 4:2:2 encoding and the ACES colour system. The Pro models will offer 4K 120fps 10-bit Log video recording and potentially 8K native output, along with AI-assisted video features.

The dynamic range of the main camera will be up to 17EV, with the Pro model featuring the same telephoto lens as the base version and the Pro Max expected to have a 200MP HP0 sensor.
