UDST signs MoUs with The View Hospital, KMC to strengthen healthcare education

Doha, Qatar - The University of Doha for Science and Technology (UDST) has entered into two memorandums of understanding (MoUs) with The View Hospital and Korean Medical Center (KMC), owned by Apex Health. These agreements aim to bolster UDST's healthcare education ties and broaden opportunities for collaboration in education, clinical training, research, and professional development.

The MoUs establish a framework for stronger partnership between UDST's applied academic programs and top healthcare institutions. They will enable students and faculty to connect classroom learning with real-world practice through clinical training, research projects, staff exchanges, capstone projects, and organized conferences and seminars.

The collaboration with The View Hospital will deepen UDST's engagement with Qatar's healthcare sector. As a state-of-the-art healthcare institution dedicated to clinical excellence, The View Hospital offers an ideal environment for UDST's students and faculty to gain practical experience, interact with healthcare professionals, and gain insights into contemporary clinical practice.

Meanwhile, the partnership with KMC introduces an international perspective to UDST's healthcare collaborations. KMC, the region's first healthcare facility of its kind, combines Korean expertise, advanced technologies, and innovative medical approaches in Qatar. This collaboration will facilitate knowledge exchange and expose students to international healthcare practices.

UDST's President, Dr. Salem Al-Naemi, emphasized the significance of these agreements, stating that strong collaborations with leading healthcare institutions are crucial for preparing students for professional practice. He highlighted that the partnerships with The View Hospital and KMC will provide meaningful opportunities for clinical learning, research, and knowledge exchange, aligning with UDST's commitment to developing skilled graduates for Qatar's healthcare sector.

Hospital Director of The View Hospital, Yannis Angouras, expressed enthusiasm for the collaboration, emphasizing the value of clinical training, knowledge exchange, and applied research for future healthcare professionals. Alexander Jankuloski, Hospital Director of Korean Medical Center, shared a similar sentiment, stressing that the collaboration will bridge academic learning with clinical practice, give students access to Korean and international expertise, and foster applied research and innovation.
