President Donald Trump resumed his social media activity this weekend, sharing a series of "AI slop" posts, as described by the hosts of "The View." During the show's debut on Tuesday, Alyssa Farah Griffin remarked that the content resembled a "junk email from your weird uncle." To introduce the season's first Hot Topics segment, moderator Whoopi Goldberg summarized some of Trump's posts, which included him riding horses with George Washington, engaging in a hockey fight with Canada's Prime Minister, renaming New Mexico to New America, and claiming the moon belongs to the United States.

Goldberg commented, "Call me an idiot, but you know, I just thought maybe you could be working on inflation, grocery prices, or the FDA, which has recorded 19 simultaneous outbreak investigations on our food!" The panelists concurred that these posts were mere distractions from the approaching midterm elections and cautioned against being misled.

Farah Griffin analogized the posts as akin to an elderly individual who had recently discovered a new tool. Haines likened it to a "weird uncle" sending an odd message. Behar inquired about Trump's reasoning, and Farah Griffin replied, "He's too online. He's surrounded by advisers who are telling him 'The internet is real life, cater to your base, put out AI slop, and people will cheer for you.' They're detached from the reality."
