Taiwan schedules Kunshen Wangye Salt for Peace Festival for November

Tainan, Taiwan – The 2026 Kunshen Wangye Salt for Peace Festival, a significant celebration of Wangye folk religion, will be held from November 7-8 at Nankunshen Daitian Temple in Beimen District, Tainan. Organized by the Southwest Coast National Scenic Area Headquarters and local partners under the theme "Salt Sustains Peace, Happiness Follows," the festival will debut the idea of "Peace Without Borders," uniting Wangye religious customs, salt industry heritage, wetland ecology, and global cultural exchange.

Visitors from worldwide are invited to explore Taiwan's unique religious culture and coastal beauty. The festival will uphold the classic rituals of Invoking the Salt, Blessing the Salt, and Giving Thanks for the Salt, symbolizing peace, well-being, and prosperity. This year, a Korean traditional blessing group will join for the first time, sharing wishes for peace through diverse cultural expressions.

A "Wall of Blessings from Around the World" will be set up, where bilingual blessing cards allow worldwide visitors to share their hopes, fostering unity beyond language barriers.
