Russia Starts Blocking Reservists From Leaving Country
A 24-year-old Russian reservist was barred from traveling abroad after a military enlistment office imposed an exit restriction, in what activists described as the first known such case. The man only discovered the ban at passport control. Rights advocates cautioned that the incident does not prove Russia has introduced restrictions for all reservists.
