Porsche heritage meets the future at Luftwasser 2026

Porsche Malaysia showcased its heritage and future at Luftwasser 2026 Icona Heritage, an independently organized event held at LYL International Karting Circuit. The gathering brought together hundreds of Porsche owners and enthusiasts to celebrate the brand's history, motorsport achievements, and cutting-edge technology.

CEO of Sime Darby Auto Performance, Christopher Hunter, emphasized that while each Porsche has an engine, it is the community that truly makes the brand come alive. The event marked 75 years of Porsche Motorsport, tracing its roots back to the 1951 Le Mans victory of the Porsche 356 SL. Porsche Malaysia displayed a collection of racing cars spanning different eras, alongside current road models, demonstrating how lessons from competition continue to shape Porsche's sports cars.

The display included 911 GT3 Cup cars from the 997, 991, and the current 992.2 generations, with the latest iteration, the Cayenne Electric, making its debut. This new model boasts impressive specifications, including up to 1,156 PS, a WLTP range of up to 669km, and DC charging capabilities of up to 400kW. With its 800-volt architecture, the Cayenne Electric can charge from 10-80% in less than 16 minutes under optimal conditions.

In addition to the impressive lineup of vehicles, Luftwasser 2026 also offered visitors a chance to experience Porsche culture firsthand. Test drives, racing simulators, a Porsche Lifestyle boutique, and the hospitality paddock provided opportunities for owners and newcomers alike to connect and share their passion for Porsche.
