"I'm telling you, Dabo – get out. Get out while you can. Get out before your program literally goes down in utter flames," Finebaum warned. The criticism stems from Clemson's inability to compete with LSU, who led 31-3 at halftime and amassed a 336-54 total yardage advantage through two quarters. National media outlets weighed in on Swinney and Clemson following the embarrassing Week 1 loss.

Clemson Wire reported that Swinney admitted the performance was "embarrassing" and that "the best thing about that one is it's over." Finebaum's latest comments were less about one bad game and more about whether Clemson can reclaim the level of success it once enjoyed under Swinney's leadership.
