Parents of Australian brothers killed at Mexican surfing hotspot attend murder trial – video

Australian brothers Jake and Callum Robinson, aged 30 and 33, and American friend Jack Carter Rhoad were murdered in Baja California state in April 2024 during a surfing trip. The three victims were camping in a remote beachside area when they were attacked and shot dead. Their bodies were discovered weeks later, bearing gunshot wounds to their heads.

The accused three men are on trial for their killings. Debra Robinson, father of the Australian victims, made a tearful appearance in court, vowing to find out why her sons were killed. Authorities claim the men were killed during an attempted robbery, with the stolen truck found burned near their bodies. One of the defendants' stepson testified, recounting his presence at the crime scene while concealed.
