NNPC disowns fuel truck conveying cannabis

The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited has denied ownership of a fuel truck carrying 2,145kg of cannabis seized by the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency in Ondo State. The company stated that the vehicle with registration number MKA 960 XC was not part of NNPC's official fleet or any authorised dealers. NNPC's Chief Corporate Communications Officer, Andy Odeh, confirmed in a statement that the logo on the truck did not match the company's current branding and was not listed in their asset database.

NNPC is working with the Nigerian Association of Road Transport Owners to gather information about the vehicle's history and purpose. The company emphasized its commitment to protecting its corporate identity and will pursue legal action against unauthorized use.
