MoEHE steps up field monitoring of schools as new academic year gets underway

Doha, Qatar - The Ministry of Education and Higher Education (MoEHE) is intensifying its field monitoring of schools as the new academic year begins in 2026-2027. Undersecretary Dr. Ibrahim bin Saleh Al Nuaimi toured two schools in Al Jumailiyah to evaluate their preparedness and ensure a seamless start to classes.

During the visits, Dr. Al Nuaimi met with school administrations, teaching and administrative staff, and observed classroom lessons. He examined student attendance, the stability of the educational process during the first week, and toured the schools to uphold the Ministry's continuous field follow-up for safe and stimulating learning environments.

Dr. Al Nuaimi discussed various education sector issues with school officials and students, emphasizing teamwork and addressing challenges to create an appealing school environment that meets high standards of quality, security, and safety. Speaking to the media, he highlighted the Ministry's commitment to monitoring students' conditions on the ground and ensuring all necessary requirements and facilities are in place for a smooth educational process.

He noted that schools were well-prepared, crediting the Ministry's inputs and conditions to ensure a successful and stable start to the new academic year, especially given the exceptional circumstances in the region. Dr. Al Nuaimi praised the dedication of school leaders, teachers, and administrative staff across Qatar, commending their commitment and professionalism in preparing for the academic year's start.

The MoEHE had completed its preparations, with teaching and administrative staff beginning work before students returned. This early preparation contributed to creating and equipping school environments to receive students and ensure the continuity and quality of education from the first day of classes.
